Nyla is such a sweet upbeat stylist. Had my consultation and can't wait to get my hair dyed. I'll update this review after that. Edit and update: my hair is absolutely amazing now! Look look! Everyone is so friendly and talented and I would recommend asking for some strands of glittery ribbon into your hair!

Elizabeth is THE BEST. I've been going to her for a year and a half and I don't trust anyone else with my ice blonde. She knows her stuff, is super kind and personable. Well worth the cost!!

I see Ellie at the Capitol Hill location and she is great! I love every haircut I have gotten from her and she also just did some hair tinsel for me. They are really communicative around appointment confirmations and changes. I think their pricing is a really good value, which is really refreshing. I also really appreciate that the vibe is positive and the people there really seem to like each other. I also really appreciate that the music is never too loud. Call me old.

I had the absolutely privilege of seeing Skyler and they are not only a color theory genius, but a genuinely gorgeous human being. After 4 hours in the chair doing a bleach and tone from purple to pink ombré I wasn’t ready to leave - just wanted to keep hanging out! If there were more than 5 stars I would be giving the max!

I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Skyler, who took such great care of me and my curls. Skyler listened to my requests and preferences, resulting in the dreamiest haircut that was exactly what I asked for, but better. I felt very safe and seen coming into Vain to see Skyler for a haircut and I will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a gender affirming cut or color that’s gonna knock your socks off, Skyler is your girl!

Ellie is fantastic! I went in to get a haircut after a disastrous experience at a different salon and Ellie did an incredible job fixing my original bad haircut. She was very attentive, specifically asked me what I wanted done, and let me take a look at her work as she was cutting my hair to ensure it was what I wanted. It was an all-around amazing experience and I will absolutely be back to see her!

I had the honor of having my hair done by Emily here. I recently moved to Seattle and went out on a journey of finding a new hair salon, I was not disappointed by any means. They listened and understood the swampy vibe I was going for. The whole staff here were super welcoming and kind. I can’t wait to work with Emily in the future! I visited this salon for a haircut and walked out very happy. Ellie did a great job listening to what I wanted, gave her suggestions and executed it perfectly. She also put in an equal amount of attention to detail while styling my hair. I've visited this salon a few times now and I've always had a pleasant experience
